The
Portland Trail Blazers head into Friday's Game 3 against the
Dallas Mavericks without a victory in the series so far and with swingman
Brandon Roy(notes) in not the greatest of mental spaces. The Oregonian reports that
Roy was upset and fighting back tears over the fact that he was the last guy pulled
off the bench in Tuesday's Game 2 loss. "I'd be lying if I said I wasn't
a little hurt, or disappointed,'' Roy said, according to the paper.
"But the biggest thing is to keep moving, to try and keep my spirits up.
But it's tough man. I just .... I just always thought I would be
treated better. That was a little disappointing for me.'' He
played nearly eight minutes and didn't score a point, snag a rebound, or
dish out one assist. His diminished minutes must have been a culture
shock for him since he played 26:22 minutes in Game 1 and scored two
points, pulled down two rebounds, and handed out three assists.
